a5c7b9f00b After the events of Avengers one, the Stratiegic Homeland Intervention Enforcement: Logistics Division (S.H.I.E.L.D.) needs a team of agents to find out and fix alien events. This team includes May, Daisy, Simmons, Fitz, and the man who lives, Agent Phil Coulson. This show follows the events of this team of many different skill and has many tie ins to the MCU movies. S.H.I.E.L.D has now began a fresh start after the event of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, with Phil Coulson now the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D and staying in the shadows with new recruits, it's up to him and his team to stop HYDRA from taking scientific weapons to create terrorist attacks. I had high expectations for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, judging by the success of marvel movies such as X-Men, Thor and Iron Man, and mistakenly thinking this TV show would be reminiscent of its DC rival "Arrow", I was eager to tune in.

This show is lacking on so many levels, interesting plots lines, intriguing characters, that "thing" that draws you so deeply into a show you think you feel like you are there. Most importantly though this program is lacking on the one think that the Agents of Shields existence rests upon, SUPERHEROES.

Agents of Shield can learn a lot from Arrow. In fact to even compare the two is quite offensive. If you go into this show expecting anything like the movies, you are going to be gravely disappointed. Right now it's at about a 5 out of 10. I thought the pilot was at times kind of a snore fest. The writing at times was juvenile at best. I expected so much more from this show, with all the hype and all. I hope it improves in the coming weeks, or it might be taken off my dvr. The pacing of the show somehow needs to be changed. I like the lead actor a lot, and was glad to see him carry his role over to the show. Maybe the wow factor is yet to come. Things need to be explained a bit better as well. I'm sure they can get it right. with so much to watch on TV will there be enough time to do just that.
